Scolavo for AI · MCP server

Plug the whole curriculum into your own AI.

The Scolavo MCP server is a licensed, first-party connection to the full curriculum — 3,680 class-lessons across 125 subjects. One standards-based link grounds your institution’s own chatbots and agents in rights-clean content, not scraped or hallucinated material.

What it is

A licensed pipe from Scolavo into your AI.

Scolavo’s Model Context Protocol server is a first-party connection to the entire Scolavo curriculum — 3,680 class-lessons across 125 subjects, Primary through College, plus the standalone Topics — with quizzes, narration transcripts, and structured lesson text.

MCP is an open standard, so one connection works across AI hosts: point Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or your own agents at the same URL and they all speak the same protocol.

It exists to ground your tools in real, rights-clean material. Instead of scraping the open web or hoping a model half-remembers a topic, your AI reads Scolavo’s own lessons — cited, current, and exactly the content you’re licensed for.

How it works

Three steps to a grounded AI.

License the content, connect the URL, and let your tools read the curriculum on demand.

Step 01 · License

License

Sign a content license, and we provision your organization with exactly the content you’re licensed for.

Step 02 · Connect

Connect

Paste the Scolavo MCP URL into Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor — or wire it into your own chatbot over standard OAuth.

Step 03 · Ground

Ground

Your AI searches, reads, and downloads licensed curriculum on demand — grounded, cited, and under your control.

What your AI can do

Everything the connector exposes.

A focused set of tools your AI can call — browse and search the library, read lessons and transcripts, stream media, export whole subjects, and pull the practice-test banks.

01

Browse the catalog

List every subject across all five levels with class counts and what media each has.

02

See a subject’s outline

Get the full class list for any subject, with per-class video / narration / transcript flags.

03

Search the whole curriculum

Full-text search across all 3,680 lessons; returns lessons with a citation link back to scolavo.com.

04

Read any lesson

Pull a class’s structured text, cards, and key points — lean by default, with opt-in detail.

05

Get quizzes & checks

Retrieve end-of-class quizzes plus mid-lesson checks, with hints and rationale.

06

Read narration transcripts

Get the spoken narration as clean markdown for grounding and study guides.

07

List a lesson’s media

See every video, narration audio, and illustration attached to a lesson.

08

Stream video, audio & images

Mint a short-lived secure link to play or download any single asset.

09

Export a whole class

Download one class as a bundle: lesson JSON, transcript, and a media manifest.

10

Export an entire subject

Download a full subject or Topic in one call — every class, transcript, and media link — ready to index into your own private RAG system.

11

Pull test-prep banks

Access the four original Scolavo practice-test banks: Digital SAT, ACT, PSAT/NMSQT, and CAASPP.

12

Check your license & usage

Your admins can see the organization’s tier, licensed content, and remaining quota from inside the AI.

13

Cite in ChatGPT deep research

Works with ChatGPT’s search/fetch so Scolavo content becomes a citable source in reports.

14

Build a study path

Ask for a goal subject and get the ordered sequence to reach it — prerequisites first, each step with a difficulty rating and estimated study hours.

15

Look up any concept

Trace a concept across the whole curriculum — every lesson that teaches it, what to learn first, and what it leads to next.

16

Pull a full tutor bundle

Get everything needed to teach one class in a single call: cards, quiz, hints, a worked example, and the common mistakes to watch for.

17

See difficulty & prerequisites

Every subject carries a difficulty rating, tags, and its prerequisite subjects, so your AI can sequence coursework correctly on its own.

18

Use suggested analogies

Lessons carry hand-authored analogies keyed to the exact class, ready for your AI to reach for when a concept needs a plainer explanation.

19

Review with key terms & summaries

Pull a lesson’s key terms, estimated study time, and a lightweight review summary — built for spaced review, not just a first pass.

Under your control

Licensed content, on your terms.

You decide what an organization can reach, and you can change it whenever you like.

First-party & rights-clean

It’s Scolavo’s own content, licensed to you — not scraped from the open web.

License only what you need

Grant access to a single tier, a set of subjects, or one Topic.

Real-time control

Grant, suspend, or revoke an organization’s access at any time; changes take effect on the next call.

Usage you can see

Per-organization quotas, visible to your admins.

Traceable exports

Every bundle is stamped to your organization.

Built for institutions

Made for institutions and the systems they build.

Content flows out to your tools; learner progress lives where you choose — your systems, or Scolavo’s.

A privacy note. By default the connector collects no student data — it’s for staff and the systems they build. We don’t train AI models on the content; private retrieval indexes are permitted; and access, along with any index you’ve built, is deleted on termination.

Two ways to handle learner progress. Keep it entirely on your side — the connector as a pure content pipe, keyed to Scolavo’s stable lesson ids — or, when your learners sign in with Scolavo identity, let us record progress in the same backend that powers scolavo.com, with nothing for you to build. You choose per license; the setup guide explains both.

For your coding agent

Hand the whole thing to your AI.

The complete integration spec as Markdown — every tool, the OAuth flows, the data model, and how learner progress works. Copy it to your clipboard and paste it into Claude Code, Cursor, or any coding agent, and it can wire up the connector for you.

The complete integration spec as Markdown — drop it into Claude Code, Cursor, or any coding agent as context and it can wire up the connector, call the right tools, and key learner progress to our stable lesson ids.

Ground your AI in a real curriculum.

Institutional licensing is annual and PO-friendly, with evaluation licenses available for a single subject — try it on one before you commit to the whole library.
